At HyperQuester Architecture, we take your privacy seriously because, honestly, we'd want the same respect if the roles were reversed. When you reach out to us or fill out a form, we're gonna need some basics - your name, email, phone number, maybe your address if we're discussing a project. Pretty standard stuff. We also grab some technical data when you browse our site (IP address, browser type, that sort of thing) but that's mostly so we can keep the lights on and make sure everything's running smooth.

If you're working with us on a project, yeah, we'll need more detailed info - property details, budget considerations, design preferences. Can't really design your dream space without knowing what you're after, right?

Here's the deal - we use your data to actually help you. Responding to inquiries, sending project updates, scheduling site visits, all that good stuff. We might also use it to:

• Keep you in the loop about your project's progress
• Send occasional updates about our work (but only if you're cool with it)

Mostly just us - the team at HyperQuester. But sometimes we gotta share info with:

• Our tech partners who help keep our systems running (they're bound by confidentiality agreements)

Everyone who gets access to your info is on a need-to-know basis and bound by professional obligations to keep things confidential.

Your Rights (The Important Bit)

You've got control here. Under Canadian privacy laws (PIPEDA for the legal folks), you can:

• Ask to see what data we have on you
• Request corrections if something's wrong
• Tell us to delete your info (with some exceptions for legal stuff we gotta keep)
• Opt out of marketing emails anytime
• Withdraw consent for data processing (though this might affect our ability to work together)

That said, no system's 100% bulletproof, so we can't guarantee absolute security. But we're doing everything reasonable to keep your info locked down.

How Long We Keep Your Data

For active projects, we keep everything until completion and then some (usually 7 years for legal and warranty purposes). If you just sent an inquiry and nothing came of it, we'll typically clear that out after a couple years. Some stuff we're legally required to keep longer - tax records, contracts, that sort of thing.

Third-Party Links

Our site might link to other websites - suppliers, partners, inspiration sources. Once you click away from our site, this privacy policy doesn't apply anymore. Those sites have their own policies, so check 'em out if you're concerned.

Changes to This Policy

We might update this from time to time - laws change, our practices evolve, you know how it goes. When we make significant changes, we'll post a notice on our site and update the date at the top. For major changes affecting active clients, we'll reach out directly.

Filing a Complaint

If you think we've mishandled your data and talking to us directly doesn't resolve it, you can file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. We'd rather work it out with you directly first, but you've got that right if needed.
